As a Member of the European Parliament - but also as a woman, a mother, a daughter, and simply as a human being - I explore what truly shapes us: our doubts, our vulnerability, and the lessons we learn along the way.

We praten onder meer over zijn nieuwste boek ‘Het verraad aan de Verlichting’ – een vlijmscherpe analyse van hoe het vrije denken onder druk staat.

Hoewel Boudry zichzelf nog steeds als progressief beschouwt, betreurt hij hoe links de idealen van universeel denken en geloof in vooruitgang heeft losgelaten. In de plaats daarvan zijn er nieuwe dogma’s gekomen: het slachtofferschap als heilig principe, doemdenken over het klimaat, postmoderne wartaal en een diepgewortelde westerse zelfhaat. Volgens hem gelooft links vandaag dat de moderniteit vooral macht gaf aan onderdrukkers, niet aan bevrijding.
