She started riding at 10 years old at a local riding school in Belgium and got her first pony when she moved back to England. She had an unexpected breakthrough when she won the Talent Spotting Finals in 1991 which proved her passion for dressage. Many horses followed! In 1998 she set up the famous shop Classic Dressage together with Julia Hornig. She is married to another great dressage icon Gareth Hughes and together they are the parents of the very talented Ruby Hughes! The three of them are a real horsey family and I known them for years!! Today I meet them again in Weert at the Equine Elite auction in Weert. Its nobody less then Rebecca Hughes and her daughter Ruby!!
