art moments Schiphol - S0 / E01

Episode 1: Maarten Baas - Real Time (EN)

'Real Time' by Maarten Baas is without a doubt the most famous work of art at Schiphol. The almost 3-metre-high clock and small man inside it who insistently keeps on painting the time have been captured on camera by countless travellers. In his masterpiece, which can be found in Lounge 2, Baas blends principles of theatre, art, film and design.

In this episode, Baas talks about how he came up with the idea for this piece, what he thinks about the concept of time and other themes from his work.
