Aubierge’s story begins in Chad and Nigeria before civil war forced her family to flee to France as refugees when she was just six years old. From spacious embassy life in Africa to crowded refugee housing in Paris, she learned early that life can change without warning. 

But the deepest shift came at 15, when her father suddenly passed away and she became responsible for helping raise five younger siblings while supporting her grieving mother.
