What's important in an inclusive and diverse teaching environment?
A spontaneous solo after the interview #34 with Dr. Kai Syng Tan about a neuro-futurism educational environment. And also triggered by a call with an embodied coaching colleague with expertise in neurodiversity.
What if we look at neurodiversity as process, it's process. Far away from the idea of 'fixing' --> you can 'meet your learners where they are'.
I share with you some practical approaches for different age groups, and some examples from Dr. Kai Syng Tan's website. (which I cant find on her website, as it has gone through some changes. I will continue searching, and update once found!)
And I quote Cathy Malchiodi and reference her beautiful work with art and neurodiversity, from 'The Body Holds the Healing'.
"embodiment introduces possibilities for restorative somatic awareness - the body's ability to awaken and reclaim the felt sense of the positive experiences that make life worth living"// LINKS
