#4 Coco Hofs on how knowing how you perceive different cultures can save you so much time & frustration

"I wish I had known this when I lived in Brazil!" was my thought after interviewing Coco Hofs. Coco explains so clearly that your personal preferences and cultural roots determine how you perceive another culture - and that two different cultures can look at a third culture in a completely different way, as they each value different things. Understanding your own preferences and those of the culture you're living in or working with, will therefore save you a LOT of time and frustration.

Coco realised this and left her corporate career to become a consultant in this field. She now trains companies and professionals on overcoming cultural differences in the international workplace so that they can lead their business effectively to achieve better results in a global economy.

In this episode we talk about her work and cultural differences, but also about her own experiences of having lived abroad many times.
