Marres Special: Porous Grounds, Sacred Codes Artist Talk

Curators Filly Gueye and Haja Fanta engaged in conversation with the participating artists of the exhibition Porous Grounds, Sacred Codes: Yacine Tilala Fall, Selly Raby Kane, Maguette Dieng, Hamedine Kane, Eva Diallo and Babacar Traoré ‘Doli’, sharing insights, stories, and experiences from the creative process behind this unique group exhibition.

Porous Grounds, Sacred Codes is curated by RAW Material Company, at Marres House for Contemporary Culture in Maastricht. Seven artists with roots in West Africa have jointly created a multi-sensory total installation incorporating sculpture, sound, textiles, and video.

De curatoren Filly Gueye en Haja Fanta (RAW Material Company) gaan in gesprek met de deelnemende kunstenaars van de tentoonstelling Porous Grounds, Sacred Codes: Yacine Tilala Fall, Selly Raby Kane, Maguette Dieng, Hamedine Kane, Eva Diallo en Babacar Traoré ‘Doli’. Samen delen zij hun inzichten, verhalen en ervaringen uit het maakproces van deze bijzondere groepstentoonstelling.

Porous Grounds, Sacred Codes is samengesteld door RAW Material Company, in Marres, Huis voor Hedendaagse Cultuur in Maastricht. Zeven kunstenaars met wortels in West-Afrika hebben gezamenlijk een multisensoriële totaalinrichting gecreëerd, waarin sculptuur, geluid, textiel en video samenkomen.

Over Sensing Art, Training the Body
