She has only been at the helm for a few weeks and certainly did not get this top position for free. For me, Roberta is a role model. Enjoy our intimate and very personal conversation about leadership, dreams, ambitions and good food. About her passion and drive to work at the top as a woman and at the same time to be a caring mother and friend. I recognise a lot in her and in the complex task of wanting to succeed on all fronts.

Assita: 'I, as an EU politician, as a real Flemish but born in Burkina Faso, as a wife, mother, daughter and friend, talk to inspiring guests: politicians, scientists, writers etc. To speak with them about freedom and self-determination.

I have become totally European but my African past has made me a fighter and a human rights activist. An advocate of freedom. Because I personally experienced that freedom is not for free or taken for granted, but it is something we should cherish and protect with our hearts and souls.

Through my podcast, from the studios of the European Parliament, I hope to give an impulse to make the world a better and more just place with engaging guests and personal stories. I am very proud to share these encounters with you and hope that you too will be touched.
