She has only been at the helm for a few weeks and certainly did not get this top position for free. For me, Roberta is a role model. Enjoy our intimate and very personal conversation about leadership, dreams, ambitions and good food. About her passion and drive to work at the top as a woman and at the same time to be a caring mother and friend. I recognise a lot in her and in the complex task of wanting to succeed on all fronts.

Kanko: Een podcast waarin ik als EU-politica, als echte Vlaamse maar geboren in Burkina Faso, als vrouw, moeder, dochter en vriendin in gesprek ga met inspirerende gasten: politici, wetenschappers, schrijvers etc. Om met hen te praten over vrijheid en zelfbeschikking.

Ik ben inmiddels helemaal Europeaan maar mijn Afrikaanse verleden heeft me strijdbaar en tot mensenrechtactivist gemaakt. Tot voorvechtster van de vrijheid. Omdat ik persoonlijk heb ervaren dat vrijheid niet gratis en vanzelfsprekend is, maar iets wat we moeten koesteren en met hart en ziel beschermen.

Met mijn podcast, vanuit de studio’s uit het Europaparlement, hoop ik met boeiende gasten en persoonlijke verhalen een aanzet te geven om de wereld een stuk mooier en rechtvaardiger te maken. Ik ben er trots op om deze ontmoetingen met u te mogen delen en hoop dat ook u geraakt wordt.
