Born and raised in the Zambian Bush on the riverbanks of the Kafue River in Zambia Doug grew up with rescuing animals which they find along the way and who needed help. His friends at the time were non human friends of all kind of creatures.
After his study in England Doug got into the work of how to finance the African protected area's in Africa and how to deal with all the problems we are facing nowadays.
After he met Craig Carr, founder of the Gorongosa Restoration project he started his job in Mozambique how to protect 1 million acres of pristine wilderness.
Bottom line, without conservation work we would not be abe to experience the last great spaces in Africa anymore!
